つりあう【釣り合う】

1 〔平均が取れている〕 be in balance; be commensurate 《with》; be proportionate 《to》.

●釣り合っていない be unbalanced; be out of proportion; be incommensurate

・原価と釣り合う値段 a price in line with the cost

・釣り合うように両手に荷物を持つ take one's luggage in both hands so that the load is in balance.

●報酬が功績に釣り合っていない. His reward is out of proportion with what he deserves.
